Sweet tea and open plains are probably some of the first things that come to mind when picturing Oklahoma. However, the incredible coffee culture is one of the first things I picture when I think of my former home. The eclectic cafe spaces and variety of coffee niches add so much vibrancy to downtown Oklahoma City culture. Here are six of the best coffee shops in OKC according to a former local. (Yours truly.)
Best Coffee Shops in OKC
Stitch Cafe tops my list because of its full menu and shared space with the Plant Shoppe. Just across from the Jones Assembly and 21c Museum Hotel, Stitch offers plenty of greenery and large open windows in one of OKC’s most coveted districts.
Cafe Disco is a cute coffee and macaron shop in the heart of downtown. This minimal, shotgun-style space isn’t very accommodating for hunkering down as a workspace, but you will definitely want to relax and stay awhile on the Insta-worthy red velvet sofa. The “Mac and Capp” pairing is a MUST.
Neon Coffee Bar is the place to go if you are looking for a fun environment. Plus, they have GOURMET donuts
Cuppies & Joe is another delicious dessert cafe. The Bangarang mocha chocolate cupcake is my personal favorite dessert in all of Oklahoma City. Another reason I love Cuppies is the homey living room atmosphere, as it’s literally located in a historic house on 23rd Street.
Leaf + Bean is a minimal modern space with delicious coffee and the best vibes. Their sitdown location is one of my favorite spaces both to focus in and work or to chill and play a board game with friends.
