AutoCamp is the pinnacle of luxury camping near Yosemite National Park. Perched just beyond the National Park in Midpines, California, this airstream glampsite has a little something for everyone. Whether you are looking for an epic bachelorette party experience or a romantic Yosemite honeymoon getaway, I love that AutoCamp indeed could provide it all. Airstream glamping in Yosemite has been my favorite way to experience my favorite National Park.

What is Glamping?
Glamping is “glamour camping.” When glamping, you typically have access to more amenities and facilities than you would in regular camping. Think cozy bedding, heat and air conditioning, and running water. I found myself describing AutoCamp as similar to staying in a hotel, only out in nature. Although AutoCamp doesn’t officially claim the glamping descriptor, their luxury facilities definitely tick all the glamping boxes for me.
Airstream Glamping in Yosemite
AutoCamp has several types of stays to choose from. I opted for the Basecamp Suite, which included an airstream and a canvas tent. There are options for just an airstream, just a canvas tent, or even accessible trailer pods, all of which include a fire pit and seating area. The airstreams are fully equipped with running water and a gorgeous full-length white tiled shower. What elevates AutoCamp from other campsites is the thoughtful design. The mid-century modern aesthetic is carried through even to the interior of the airstreams. From the natural wood finishes to the crisp canvas and bedding, the clean and contemporary feel perfectly complements the natural beauty of the surrounding Sierra.

What do I Need to Bring to AutoCamp Yosemite?
The best thing about glamping is that you can come mostly unprepared and still have everything you need at your fingertips, thanks to the fully stocked clubhouse. However, to lessen the cost of your stay, you will want to bring your own groceries. It was refreshing to overpack and not worry about carrying weight or storage space. Room is abundant in the full-sized airstream fridge and pantry. Wagons are also available to cart your supplies from the car to the campsite. When meal prepping, be sure to splurge on at least one meal kit available for purchase at the clubhouse. They are delicious!
| Included | To save money, bring your own |
| Towels & paper towels | Firestarters |
| Pots & all kitchenware | Food |
| Shampoo, toilet paper, hairdryer | Water & alcohol |
| Firewood (extra cost, must be purchased at AutoCamp) | Lighter |

What is There to Do Around AutoCamp Yosemite?
You’ll want at least a full day just to enjoy the amenities at the camp itself. Start the morning slow with campfire coffee and a book in one of the many hammocks around the property. After lunch, enjoy a dip in the heated pool, then take a stroll around the lake before returning to the clubhouse for some yard games like cornhole. During select days you might even find live music at the clubhouse! But no matter what you do, each night must end with s’mores around the fire.
There is plenty to do when you are ready to venture beyond the camp, and I have yet to experience two things on my list: horseback riding the Sierras and riding the Sugarpine Railroad. And of course, you can’t be this close to Yosemite National Park and not pay it a proper visit! If this is your first visit to the park, I recommend starting with sunrise at Tunnel View, exploring the valley floor, then heading up to Taft Point for sunset. If you are feeling super adventurous, hike Half Dome! Check out my guide to the best photo spots in Yosemite for more details.
