The La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites is hands down the best place to stay in La Jolla. Nestled oceanfront mere footsteps from La Jolla Cove, this coastal-pink building is more than an Insta-worthy backdrop. The rooftop views are among the best in the area and the spacious rooms provide premium comfort. What really makes this the best hotel in La Jolla is the instant access to the beaches and unlimited relaxation at the private nested terrace.
The Best Hotel in La Jolla
La Jolla is known for its world-class beaches and quintessential California coastline. However, as one of the cutest buildings on Coast Boulevard, plan on spending some time enjoying the amenities within the hotel itself. I couldn’t get over the pink walls that made for the perfect photo backdrop. Once I saw the inviting common areas, I knew I had to spend an entire night in! Plus, the private stairway to the rear pedestrian entrance leads right to a Starbucks and the shopping center of La Jolla Village.

When you get to your room, large full-length mirrors create a roomy, spacious feel. The coastal colors complete with floor to ceiling porch doors ensure that you never feel far from the beach. Of course, I also loved the modern touches every room has with a flat-screen TV and LED bathroom mirror.

Things to do near La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites
Although you won’t want or need to leave the hotel, there are so many attractions that are so easily accessible. After all, you are in the prime location for exploring La Jolla and greater San Diego. When possible, I highly recommend ditching the car and walking along the strand.
| Common Areas on the Property | Within Walking Distance | Easy Driving Distance |
| Heated pool | La Jolla Cove | Torrey Pines |
| Fire pits | Sunny Jim’s Sea Cave at the Cave Store | Salk Institute |
| Oceanview rooftop with space heater seating | Sea lion and harbor seal spotting | Mission Bay |
| Pool tables and string light seating | Kayak La Jolla Cove Caves | San Diego Zoo |
| Year-round jacuzzi | Tidepools | Gaslamp District |

I visited in the winter and did not feel limited at all by the weather! In fact, the brisk morning walks were even more enjoyable in my opinion. Plus, La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites make their outdoor common areas very accessible and comfortable year-round with space heaters and fire pits.
